George Derby Centre is owned and operated by the George Derby Care Society and is fully accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. The Society is a non-profit community-based organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Friends, community citizens and service organizations are encouraged to join the Society.

The Board of Directors promotes membership in the Society throughout the community and within the service organizations. We wish to acknowledge our membership who continues to extend their support to the Board of Directors and welcome the recently joined members to the Society.

Unfortunately, there has been a decrease in the membership of the George Derby Care Society over the past several years. It is recognized that, with the uncertainty within health care, it is important that our membership present a unified body. We urge our membership to promote and encourage their relatives and friends to join the George Derby Care Society.

The membership fee for each membership year is $7.00, which entitles each member to vote at meetings of the Society until adjournment of the Annual General Meeting held during the same membership year.
